PRESENCE WHERE HE SENDS US -
IN OUR CITY, OUR NATION AND OUR WORLD
Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He said to His disciples:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Act 1:8
As a community of Jesus Followers, we are called to carry His Presence, into the World. Our missions team helps guide how we focus our efforts in 3 different dimensions. Part of our approach is that we commit to partnerships where we will show up on a regular basis and be Present.
In 2025, we sent over $55k on missions work. We have a godly goal of spending 10% of our annual income on missions and spreading the gospel. Partner with us to make a difference for Jesus.
“IN JERUSALEM” - OTEPOTI DUNEDIN - OUR CITY

The primary way we reach our city is through the hundreds of Jesus Followers serving and ministering to their families, places of work, and communities. We also have a dedicated team of evangelists "Beautiful Feet on the Street" who share faith in a personal and engaging way.
Through the yearly Christmas Touch program we establish connection with key partners in the city. We give a Christmas gift to every inmate at the Otago Correctional Facility, and Boxes to Te Whare Pounamu Dunedin Whanau Refuge (formerly women's refuge), Servants Health Centre and other families in need. We support Servants financially.
These relationships then guide us with specific needs and requests across the city at different times in the year.

The primary way we reach our nation is by sharing resources, send preachers, teachers and teams to encourage and strengthen other Elim churches in Otago/Southland. We partner strongly with 24/7 Prayer NZ in the establishing of prayer centers across the nation.
We sponsor Rhema Media, a media group sharing Christian content across the nation.
We are a part of Elim NZ which is two years into a church planting vision being implemented in the nation. It is part of our strategic planning to consider how we can plant discipleship groups and potentially churches in the coming 2 to 5 years as part of this national initiative. More information to follow as plans crystallise.

At Elim Church Dunedin, we intentionally invest a portion of our resources in overseas missions work with a focus on unreached people groups, children, and church planting.
The primary way we reach our world is through our strategic partnerships with International Needs, Voice of the Martyrs as well as some direct relationships.
We support and resource missionaries, churches and mercy ministries in the Philippines, Indonesia and Bangladesh. We sponsor a bible study in Kenya.
We translate and distribute the Bible with Voice of the Martyrs.
We are considering medical missions to Vanuatu, and partnering with new church launches out of Tawamangu Bible College in Indonesia.
