IN OUR CITY, OUR NATION AND OUR WORLD
Before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He said to His disciples:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Act 1:8
In addition to our efforts during Sunday services, we are focused on reaching people in three key places designated by Jesus:
“IN JERUSALEM” - OUR CITY
“Real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, is this: Reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight.” James 1:27 MSG
The primary way we reach our city is through our Sunday services, Prison Ministry, providing meals for the Night Shelter, Servants Health, FoodBank, and street evangelism.
We also participate in the yearly Christmas Touch program where we give Christmas boxes to the Otago Correctional Facility, Te Whare Pounamu Dunedin Women's Refuge and other people in need.
“IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA” - OUR NATION
“As they traveled from town to town, they presented the simple guidelines the Jerusalem apostles and leaders had come up with. That turned out to be most helpful. Day after day the congregations became stronger in faith and larger in size.” Acts 16:4-5 MSG
The primary way we reach our nation is by starting new churches and strengthening existing churches through the Elim Network. We are able to share resources, send preachers, teachers and others to encourage and strengthen other churches around the nation.

The primary way we reach our world is through strategic missions. At Elim Church Dunedin, we intentionally invest a portion of our resources in missions work all around the world with a focus on unreached people groups, children, and church planting. We support and resource missionaries in the Philippines, Indonesia and Nepal as well as partner with International needs.
We as a church have built and resourced a multipurpose Library in Balubad - Silang, Philippines. Helped resource empowering Women through the Lydia Project, a vocational training facility in Nepal.
