A Small Group is a group of 3+ people who get together regularly around a common interest that is open for people to invite their friends, neighbours, work colleagues, or team mates.
WHAT IS A SMALL GROUP?
Our Small Groups are a diverse mix of people who gather around common activities or interests. They are focused on building relationships that are authentic and life-giving where people encourage and care for one another.
From sports groups to lunch groups, mum groups to student groups, Bible study groups to creative arts groups, our groups are as varied as we are. The idea is to take what you are already doing, and turn it into a ministry opportunity.
Groups are led by a leader who organises each meeting and ensures the Small Group retains its intentional purpose.
Groups meet throughout the year, typically in the four school terms. Some Small Groups may be courses with 6-8 sessions that happen more than once a year.
Groups meet weekly or fortnightly during each term/semester.
Groups meet in a variety of places like homes, parks, restaurants, coffee shops and office buildings.

WHY SMALL GROUPS EXIST
Small groups are at the very heart of our church. They facilitate ‘more people becoming more like Jesus’ by being relational environments that help you grow as a disciple of Jesus and in making disciples of Jesus. God created us to live in community because life change happens in the context of relationships. Small groups are a primary way for people to get connected to our church family and grow into who God has called them to be.
All our Small groups have a focus on studying the teachings of Jesus and personal application of God’s Word in our lives. i.e.
"Make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” - Matt 28:18-19
We have Small groups for all ages and stages meeting throughout our city. These are a great place to make friends, grow in your relationship with God and learn how to use the gifts God has given you.
