In Jesus God did not send a tweet, a text msg, email, or even jump on Skype. God came to earth in person, Jesus of Nazareth; “the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14). In the incarnation, in Jesus, God became tangible, concrete, tactile, close, easy to see, in the flesh, real. At the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry he said: “As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” (John 20:21) God, who became incarnate in Jesus, wants in a similar way to ‘incarnate’ Himself through you. This series is about what it means to live like Christ.
