Faithful

December 15, 2018

This Christmas series we are considering the faithfulness of God in the story around Jesus’ dedication in the Temple (recorded in Luke chapter 2). The main actors are Joseph and Mary, the prophets Simeon and Anna, and of course, Jesus Himself. Listen in as we tune into the frequency of God’s faithfulness, and the many ways this relates to us today.

Matthew 11

November 24, 2018

Jesus said making disciples centres on “teaching them to obey all I have commanded you.” As a church we take this seriously and recognise it is a rather large task! We attempt to do this both through teaching topically, and by working through Matthew’s gospel – one account of all that Jesus taught. Our focus for this series is Matthew 11

Fruitful

October 20, 2018

Jesus says He chose his disciples, and by extension each and every Christian, with one purpose in mind. To bear fruit. This, Jesus says, glorifies God. What does it mean to bear fruit for the Lord? How do we do this? This message series is designed to help you be fruitful for Jesus.

Less is More

September 28, 2018

Sometimes our lives can be so crowded by so many things, that we end up not having time for the things that matter most. Really and truly, Less is More.

Celebration

September 22, 2018

Celebration Sunday is an annual event at our church. It’s our chance to reflect on all the amazing things God has done in and through us over the past year. God loves celebrations! He commanded the Israelites to hold festivals and to rejoice in the goodness of God. Jesus loved to crash the party and would light up the room. Despite the difficulties and challenges in this life we can be full of joy because of who He is and what He has done for us. It’s important to take time to acknowledge what He has done and give Him the glory with hearts of gratitude and thanks. We revel in God’s love and He delights in His children. We praise Him and glorify Him because He is worthy of it all. What's this item about? What makes it interesting? Write a catchy description to grab your audience's attention...

Matthew 10

June 23, 2018

Jesus said making disciples centres on “teaching them to obey all I have commanded you.” As a church we take this seriously and recognise it is a rather large task! We attempt to do this both through teaching topically, and by working through Matthew’s gospel – one account of all that Jesus taught.

Living Wisdom

June 02, 2018

I love how the Bible doesn’t present perfect people, but life in all its rawness & authenticity. God knows us well, and He knows that real life is messy. Where there are people there is joy, fun, and there are issues. Relating well to people can be challenging. To love people well, to relate to people well – we need wisdom, living wisdom.

Holy Spirit

May 05, 2018

The Holy Spirit - who is He? What is He like? What does He do? According to the Bible, the importance of the pouring out of the Holy Spirit is right up there alongside the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus (Acts 2:31-33). Join us in this series as we learn who the Holy Spirit is, what He does, and what He desires to do in and through us.

Vision Series

February 24, 2018

God has called our church to be a discipleship-centred church. This is the bullseye of what God has called us to be and to do. But what is a disciple of Jesus? Is it the same as being a Christian? And how do I grow as disciple and as a disciple-maker? What does this mean practically? Grasping Jesus’ intention for the church and for every believer includes a transforming of the way we think and the way we live. Tune into the series, based on Ephesians 4:7-16, as we chew over these matters of central importance.

Seek First

Near the start of the year we can figure out what we want for the year, and make plans accordingly. Jesus reminds us that in this process we have to remember to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.” This series explores what Jesus means and how to do it.

Song of Songs

July 28, 2018

Song of Songs is a song about love, and in it we can see a picture of the relationship between Jesus and his bride the church. Part 1 in this series looks at the bridal metaphor as being an invitation to both understand and experience union with Jesus. Part 2 will is a call to respond to Christ's giving of himself to us in fullness by giving our heart fully to him.

Hundreds of years later, as recorded in John’s gospel, Jesus reveals himself as the Son of God by making 7 “I Am” statements. Each statement declares something about his divine nature, and this series will look at these statements in the context which Jesus made them.
